Sales Cloud implementation and Smartsheet integration
TalentNet introduced the world to a better way of sourcing in 2013 with the launch of the TalentNet contingent labor direct sourcing platform. Today, direct sourcing is one of the fastest-growing trends globally in talent acquisition. TalentNet wanted to centralize customer information under one roof and have greater visibility into opportunities. Also, sales reps needed access into a single platform on their mobile devices, making it easy to update accounts on the go.
They wanted to plan, manage, measure, and improve lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
When managers needed to create their weekly reports, time was wasted when looking for the right data, usually leading to human error.
Sales reps wanted to have all their customers’ information at their fingertips in one single source of truth.
First, App Solve configured and set up Sales Cloud by creating a company profile, users, user role hierarchy, and configured organization-wide defaults.
Then, we customized activity tracking to match TalentNET’s needs, including call connections, in-person meetings, email sends, etc.
Chatter—a Salesforce real-time collaboration application that lets users work together, talk to each other, and share information—was also configured to allow internal and external collaboration.
Next, we created accounts, contacts, and opportunities with their standard and custom fields.
In addition, the source of all new Leads was configured to be captured on the Salesforce platform.
App Solve configured Forecasting settings and mapped Opportunity stages to Forecast categories. We also configured Forecasting hierarchy and roles.
We created automation rules in the Salesforce.com system to support business process automation tasks and maximize efficiency and productivity within the business. Automation rules included automatic task creation, field updates and/or e-mail notifications, field dependencies and validation rules.
The next step involved App Solve integrating Salesforce to Smartsheet. Smartsheet is a software as a service (SaaS) that enables collaboration and work management. It is used to assign tasks, track project progress, manage calendars, share documents, and manage other work, using a tabular user interface.
The goal was to create a seamless transition of data between the two systems, which included:
- Configuration of the Smartsheet connector
- Synchronization of TalentNet data into Salesforce from Smartsheet at regular intervals in their cycle
- Push of data from the Opportunity object in Salesforce to centralized deal/project tracker in Smartsheet
- Configuration of workflows between Objects on the Connector
- Mapping of fields between objects
- Setting the frequency of the sync
Finally, we created and customized Reports and Dashboards for relevant insights into TalentNet’s business including formatting, filtering, style, formulas, and graphs. The Dashboards were customized based upon the specific business requirements like important KPIs, metrics, and more.
App Solve provided training on the new system for both users and admins in order to maximize user adoption and ROI on the system.
Salesforce gave TalentNet sales team one centralized place to see sales progress, from lead generation through closing the deal. They can see how much business their teams generate, the sources of that business, and who in their team is making it happen.
Pipeline reports provide insight into their future sales and reps don’t waste time scrubbing data and updating spreadsheets anymore when creating weekly reports.
With Chatter, TalentNet streamlines internal communications for its sales and other teams. Instead of hunting for a specific person who might have an answer, users can find the right source for a question by posting directly to a Chatter group. The appropriate sales rep or anybody else can quickly provide an answer that everyone can see. Other users can also share best practices and tips. Also, now everyone can get involved when TalentNet gets new customers and share kudos about the wins.
As the core foundational CRM product within the Salesforce platform, Sales Cloud provides the baseline for the 30% revenue growth that the average App Solve customer achieves. Key areas like contact management, opportunity management, forecasting, reports and dashboards allow you to automate sales to supercharge growth.
Smartsheet provides a dynamic workspace that empowers teams to manage projects, automate workflows, and quickly build new solutions. It is used to assign tasks, track project progress, manage calendars, share documents, and manage other work, using a tabular user interface.
