In Feb 2021 Salesforce will be upgrading the current release with the Winter 2021 Release, which will drive innovation across the platform. Since the outbreak of COVID, many sales reps are working with their customers via virtual meetings and conference calls. In the Winter upgrade, Salesforce has added new tools to help the sales rep work more effectively during this difficult time. Briefly, here is a summary of some of the new functionality:
Salesforce Meetings is a new video management system that is layered on top of your existing video provider such as Zoom, WebEx, etc. to coach sales reps, while on a video call. It’s designed to help sales reps prepare for, host, and follow up on calls from directly within Salesforce. Before the call, reps can get information such as meeting attendees’ bios, customer history, and open service cases. Reps will also be able to see if a key decision-maker is not attending the call. After the call, Meetings will provide automated action items and call notes that reps can access through the Salesforce Anywhere app. There is no software to download to use Salesforce Meetings and it doesn’t replace any video tools. The sales rep will need to share a link with customers to launch the meeting within Salesforce.
Although most sales reps are virtually engaging with the customers during the whole sales cycle, some of them need to meet face-to-face. Salesforce Maps Field Safety Kits will help reps determine the safety of the area they are traveling to by providing COVID-19 trend information. Companies can create pre- and post-COVID-19 health checks all within Salesforce.
Salesforce High Velocity Sales (SHVS) is getting enhancements as well. Salesforce will be adding “cadence templates” inside of SHVS. These templates will provide recommended actions for sales reps to take based on where they are within the sales process.
With the new release, sales reps will be able to generate email templates faster in Content Builder through leveraging visual tools. This will enable users to send off emails with only a few clicks!
